Encouraging Creative Productivity

This website was created by Clint Watson and Lori Woodward Simons for the purpose of encouraging artists to spend an adequate amount of time in their studios - in the actual process of creating their work.

As an artist myself (Lori) I experience many roadblocks to productivity - some of these hindrances are common to artists - especially in this social media age. While I do use social media to to promote my art and writing, I also find myself getting emotionally caught up in the positive feelings using it gives me. However, positive feelings that are generated by spending time on my PC eventually can lead to emotional distress -- because I have substituted time online for time making my craft... the very thing that sustains my business.

If I have no artwork to market, then I'm wasting my time learning new marketing skills. First, we must create an excellent body of work, then we market it effectively.
